Produced and Directed by Michael Fisher
Michael Fisher is a filmmaker and visual artist. He wrote, directed, and produced his current film project, Parakeet. His other critically acclaimed films include, Toe Tag, based on his true life experience, Cherry Grove Stories, chronicling gay history in Cherry Grove on Fire Island in New York and, I Feel a Song Coming On, about the life of long time residents of Cherry Grove, which he wrote, produced, and directed. These films toured the film festival circuit internationally.
Prior to filmmaking, Michael worked with Steve Jobs to create the Apple Stores, which were instrumental in redefining the retail experience. His success with Apple led to his creation of other groundbreaking visual design experiences with Samsung, Coach, and Bloomingdale’s.
Michael lives in Cherry Grove and is passionately committed to documenting and highlighting LGBTQ history
and experiences.
